Competition for artistic proposals for the realization of a mural in the public space, applied to the pavement

The International Urban Art Competition Estepona-Jardín de la Costa del Sol, proposes the realization of a sustainable artistic intervention, applied to the pavement (horizontal mural), in the surroundings of the future City Hall of the city. The new municipal headquarters will be an iconic building, innovative and open to citizens, which aims to activate the adjacent public space through interventions based on the concept of sustainability. The inspirational axis of the call is oriented precisely towards the Sustainable Development Goals, an unavoidable challenge of today's societies, which artists will be free to interpret when conceiving and shaping their proposal.

The winning artistic proposal of this contest will receive the City of Estepona Award, AEDASHomes 2022.

This is a competition aimed at the international artistic community sponsored by the company AEDASHomes. The event is part of the global program 'ConLasArtes´, a cultural strategy with which AEDASHomes, a national housing developer, wants to get involved with the urban environment of its residential developments through artistic projects that add value to the territory and engage people.

SUMMARY OF THE CALL FOR ENTRIES

CATEGORY: Sustainable artistic intervention applied to the pavement, in public space. Horizontal mural (Ground eco-painting in public space)
ADDRESSED TO: Competition open to creators of any nationality
CONVENED BY: AEDASHomes, with the collaboration of the Estepona City Council
THEME: Free, inspired by the Sustainable Development Goals. The SDGs are part of the commitments made by the City of Estepona and AEDASHomes in their respective fields)
AWARDS: City of Estepona Award, AEDASHomes 2022: valued at 12,000 euro (TWELVE THOUSAND EURO)
  The prize includes the execution of the mural by the artist
  Travel, accommodation and living expenses of the artist during the execution of the work, as well as the materials and auxiliary means to carry out the work are paid separately
  THREE mentions, each worth 1,500 euros (ONE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED EUROS)
  Among all the works submitted, FIVE will be selected, which the authors will present to the Jury by telematic means, for which they will be duly notified and summoned. After deliberation of the Jury, the winning work and the mentions will be decided
